Review:
Ichiban Kirei na Watashi wo is pretty much your typical Mika ballad. It’s been forever since I’ve heard one though, but this one sounds amazing and has revived my fading interest in her! It’s typical with the arrangement, very humble and lovely. It sounds oriental a little, the strings, piano, light percussion, and the acoustic guitar have such a calming and euphoric effect. Her vocals aren’t all that powerful but they still sound incredible and full of emotion. And to top it off the chorus was a spectacular display of acoustic magic and harmony.

As for the remix it’s certainly interesting. It’s more laid-back and more Caribbean as you can guess from the “REGGAE.” It’s pretty blissful, nothing too special though IMO.

This single only had one song on it as compared to her past singles so there’s not really much to say. I mean this single is pretty epic and amazing IMO. I love the cover and how it looks so epic and regal. But they pretty much did the shoot the same time as her shoot for her newest album STAR, minus the colors but still. I love this song to deal, easily one of the best ballads of the year, besides if of course. I would say I’m stoked for the new album but there are only maybe 4 new songs????? Oh well, a flawless finish to the STAR Era.
