BYE BYE - Miliyah Kato

3. Koi ga Owaru Sono Toki ni

Every time I see her I keep thinking of Lex’s tranny comment, and it cracks me up. And yeah in both videos she looked like a hot mess, a tranny, but a hot mess, it might be her eyelashes???

Anyway this is yet another amazing single from Miliyah. Just how good is BYE BYE??? It’s SAYONARA Baby good, it’s just that damn infectious. There’s seriously no other way to describe this infectious dance tune. It has thumping beats, strings (particularly at the end), lots and lots of synth, keyboard, and even an electric guitar, I could be wrong though. The song itself is extremely energetic and her vocals are suited perfectly. Speaking of vocals, they were again magnificent, and so unique, you can tell it’s Miliyah. The chorus was amazing and could easily give Ayu’s new songs a run for their money. The ending was odd because it was just an ensemble of strings playing very sad music.

As for SENSATION, it’s certainly interesting. It sounds like a cross between rock and R&B, not her best work IMO. There are some synth riffs but it’s not enough to save this song. It’s certainly growing on me, but it could be a lot better. I did like the times where there were distortions though. As for the Dance Edit is pretty much the same, longer and some minor differences, nothing special.

Koi ga Owaru Sono Toki ni was pretty good too. It’s a rock ballad that just flows very nicely. There is probably similar to some of her past works, well slower past works.

Miliyah has yet again proven that even if you look like a tranny you can still sing pretty damn well. This song is one of her greatest probably because it has so much variety and the songs are pretty catchy. The one dance song was off the charts. The others could use some improvement but they’ll no doubted grow on me. Another excellent single to her discography, can’t wait to see what she comes out with next.
