KIRA☆KIRA☆ - BENI

Tracks:
1. KIRA☆KIRA☆
2. Zutto Futari de (DJ HASEBE REMIX)
3. Koi Kogarete (CLUB MIX)
4. KIRA☆KIRA☆ (Instrumental)

Review:
First off I’d like to say that this is a re-cut single, but that’s pretty obvious. Second, Beni looks like she’s promoting the Christmas/Holiday Edition of BITTER & SWEET. And lastly, I don’t care for re-cut singles that much.

I’m still wondering why out of all the amazing songs on the album they would pick KIRA☆KIRA☆. Choosing an okay pop song over an R&B ballad *cough* Beautiful World *cough* was pretty stupid in my opinion, but what do I know about music that’s appealing??? Yeah so this pop song is nice, but it doesn’t sound anywhere near re-cut material.

The only reason I’d ever get this single would be to listen to the remixes. The first is the DJ HASEBE REMIX of Zutto Futari de. It pretty much turned her ballad into a more R&B friendly one, similar to the remix of Mou Nido to… just not as good, but it does make it more tolerable. Then we have the CLUB MIX of Koi Kogarete. The club mix just jazzified the song and added some more beats and made it even more dance friendly, but mostly jazz friendly with all the brass.

~~~
The only reason I’d ever get this single would be to listen to the remixes, and that’s it. Otherwise it’s quite dreary and pathetic. I think this is the first single that’s ever going to receive a really bad grade but then again it’s a re-cut single with a less than great title track. Sign is going to be a lot better thank goodness.
