I’m waiting more or less until Jan 20 because that’s when a hoard of singles come out, so for now it’s some of the older stuff that I haven’t reviewed.
One of my favorite songs of the year was Namida no Mukou lit. Beyond the Tears. It’s very true to their rock music, involving percussion, the bass, and the guitar. While the song isn’t all that long it’s pretty damn good. The melody was great and I love the music was just incredible. You can’t go wrong with rock music, especially when it doesn’t overpower the vocals. Overall it’s a pretty catchy song. As for the Opening Edition, it’s exactly what it says it is, the opening featured in the anime.
Then you have Stereopony no Tabi wa Tsuzuku. It’s another rock song, not nearly as strong or as catchy as the previous track but it sounds nice. Finally you have the AIMI Acoustic Version of her previous single. It’s nice, but again it’s not all that strong. Still sounds great though.
Great single for the most part. I loved the title track. I think what I loved the most about it was the fact that not only was it catchy, but it sounded pretty emotionally driven, a lot more serious than some other songs I’ve heard. B-Sides could have been better but that’s normal for most singles. And furthermore I’d like to state that this song is good, which is why it was used in an anime, NOT that it’s good because it was used in an anime.
