Mamoritai ~White Wishes~ was BoA’s 30th single. It was released on December 9, 2009 and reached no. 3 on the Oricon Weekly Charts with 25,413 copies sold.
*This is my review of the Tales of Graces Edition*

3. Mamoritai ~White Wishes~ (English Version)
4. Mamoritai ~White Wishes~ (Karaoke)

Why review this single you ask when I could have easily done it in one? The cover!!! I’m weird like that xD I like the cover, I don’t know why, but I do, and as a result I can now show it off with this review.

Yeah so BoA released a winter song, not a ballad this time though. Mamoritai ~White Wishes~ is more like a pop song with heavily synth influences. It’s a pretty catchy song, and her vocals sound great too. And despite this being a pop song, and rather up-beat, it’s quite dramatic. The Tales of Graces Version is just a shortened version, it’s more condensed. And time for the English version!!!! I’m not gonna lie, it’s hard to make any song a different language, which I why I like artists like Bentley Jones, that’s some talent. And it’s pretty hard in most cases, but the English Version in this song is actually decent. It’s a huge improvement from her Engrish days back during her debut *cough* ALL English version *cough*. So the grammar’s a lot better. Lyrics are still rather corny but it’s nice.

And so out of place is BEST HIT MEGA BLEND. It was already released with her triple A-Side, so I’m not sure why it’s here now, maybe avex really wants to push her BEST & USA album? It’s basically a huge remix of some of her previous singles.

Final Thoughts: Not much to say since I said some stuff in my last review, so this is gonna be short. Basically BoA is back and now she can focus only on her Japanese career. The music is a heck of a lot better than her previous mishap called a single, and she looks better than ever. And the fact that it was tied in with a Tales of… game makes it even better, and probably since I just love the illustrations.
