Review:
At this point I’m gonna go out on a limb and say Kana is going for an R&B artist. Her previous single was an R&B ballad, and so it Motto… The piano is the leading instrument and it’s never sounded so goo with Kana’s stronger than ever vocals. There’s also some synth music and naturally some R&B beats along with a mid-tempo atmosphere.  She’s finally finding herself as an artist at this point. Before she did a lot of random singles for the most part, experimenting with various genres but I think she’s finally nailed it with R&B. The song overall was pretty catchy, especially the hook which is pretty simple and easy to memorize. And the melody was infectious as usual. Oh and her English was perfect! She could teach Kuu and Namie a thing or two.

Now as for B-Sides, they’re actually quite nice. missing you is another ballad, but not R&B like Motto… instead it’s actually a regular ballad. It does have some great beats, but her vocals aren’t as strong, but they do sound nice with the acoustics. And the last is the pop song Dear My Friends. It’s actually quite reminiscent of her debut album LOVE one. with those innocent pop tracks. It’s not her best work, or her most memorable, but it certainly sounds nice.

Final Thoughts: I know that I’ve loved her past singles, but this is now my favorite song by Kana. I think that she’s matured a lot as an artist since she debuted back in 07. Her music and well as her vocals have improved a tremendous deal. Anyway the R&B music is smooth and infectious. The melodies are catchy and fun as usual. And her vocals are spectacular. Without a doubt this is her best single to date, for the most part.
