Review:
I’m not quite sure what SONY’s motives are but I’m guess they’re really promoting Kana and her debut album especially with Kimi ni Aitaku Naru Kara. It’s her final single in the era as well as probably the single that’ll help push the album. It’s another signature track from Kana, featuring the piano, light R&B beats, and naturally some synth. From there it’s pretty relaxed and easy going until the chorus. It’s with the chorus that the song seemingly comes to life. Things speeds up a bit and the melody is a little more exciting at this point. And I love her vocals during this point, the back-to-back vocals were surprising and yet wonderful. The whole mid-tempo aspect of it all didn’t hurt it either.

I’m hoping that I got the romaji right because I haven’t seen anything else for Shitsu Koi Modo feat. WISE. This is their third time together, the first was her previous song followed by the answer song featured on WISE’s latest album, and now this is the third. The beginning is WISE rapping and it’s actually not half way. The whole strings and acoustics kinda threw me off though with the rapping. However once Kana begins to sing things settle down a bit. She sounds great but the song isn’t just all that exciting. I wasn’t too thrilled with the chorus, it sounded nice but it’s just not all that memorable. WISE didn’t even do all that much until the bridge where he actually sang alongside Kana.

Again is pretty much your average B-Side. It’s not extraordinary but it is good, not strong enough to be an A-Side though. It’s fairly different compared to her other works though. There’s more of an emphasis on the percussion yet there’s still some underlying synth and acoustics and the occasional R&B placed somewhere. It does make time go by though, especially with the cheerfully music filled with lots of beeps.

Overall Review: Kimi ni Aitaku Naru Kara is one unique single. I do like the title track, mostly because the chorus sticks out with the back-to-back vocals, which makes the entire song, that and the synth. As for the B-Sides, well they’re lackluster at best really. I mean I see no reason why WISE was even there, he did nothing for the most part but rap in English. And as for Again, well mediocre but it does sound sweet and innocent. Not her greatest work but it’s a great way to end her LOVE one Era.
