1. Dream Fighter
3. Dream Fighter (Instrumental)
4. Negai (Instrumental)
Initially I had my doubts about Dream Fighter, but upon further review, I began to fall in love with this song. This song is just as irresistible as their previous single, if not more. Anyway, it features some heavier techno/synth beats and distortions than its predecessor, yet it’s a little better and devoid of some of those pop idol sounds. The vocals sound as adorable and cute as ever though, and they’re even distorted less than before. The music is still pretty dance oriented. And the chorus is extremely catchy. It’s so addictive and so incredible. I must applaud them one having some of the best melodies, and the arrangement of the chorus. The ending was great, I mean the “woh…” towards the end was the perfect ending.
Laid-back and far more mid-tempo is Negai. And honestly I have to admit that this track really doesn’t do much for me. I liked the vocals, I mean they were deeper and slower. But overall the slow beats and music wasn’t all that sensational. It’s somewhat of an opposite to the previous track, it’s not really all that up-beat either. And sadly the song was just so monotone and repetitive. Not really their finest work.
Overall Review: Dream Fighter was synth supremeness! Everything about this single screams awesome, sweet synth. Not to mention that it’s extremely catchy and amazing for the most part. The title track was such a sweet song that’s a great follow-up to love the world. The music was great, and pretty catchy. The only problem I had with this single was the b-side Negai. I mean it’s very different from Perfume’s normal works, but besides that it’s just so repetitive. Maybe if it were more up-beat it’d be better, but I just don’t like it all that much. The single overall is such a wonderful follow-up as well as an awesome single in Perfume’s new Era.
