2. HANABI “Electrical Bossa Mix”
3. independent “Sugiuramn Mix”
4. Voyage -Instrumental-
The ballad Voyage is one of Ayumi’s most beautiful ballads in this era. The beginning of the song is filled with the sounds of a lovely music box then followed by the piano. Ayumi then sings the chorus, which sounds so beautiful, especially with the violins. This song is also known for having some of the best classical instrumentals which sound so heavenly. The climax was such a work of art as well as the instrumentals. The vocals were just so perfect and with the music they made a gorgeous duo. Such a thrill to hear.
One of the most interesting remixes is up, HANABI “Electrical Bossa Mix”. The instrumentals are different and the song appears to move faster. The vocals were the same so that was a high point. The chorus sounded as good as ever too, well the vocals. I wasn’t too sure with the whole instrumentals in it but it was unique. The original was much better.
independent “Sugiuramn Mix” is very strange, with a capital S. Besides the annoying voices in the beginning it featured some weird instrumentals. It was very synth like and those laughs were so disrupting. The song had become faster paced and the music was just so odd. They really didn’t go together that well. But I did like the tambourine during the chorus. Again, just stick with the original.
Overall Review: Voyage was pure magic! The title track was so moving and so so awing. It’s really hard not to like it. However the remixes weren’t all that great. I did love all of her vocals though, but the music wasn’t all that great. Still Voyage was a splendid single and a magnificent way to end the RAINBOW Era.
