LOSE YOUR MIND feat.Yutaka Furukawa from DOPING PANDA, the guitar empowered track. The main instrument here is the guitar. This is a step up after LOVE LETTER, and it’s a nice step. This song sounds a little more R&B oriented compared to previous singles. The English parts are my favorite and they make the chorus catchy. However the part where she she sings “Make me wild” it sounds like “Mike me whine.” Yutaka Furukawa plays the guitar that you can hear, which is why he is featured. The PV shows BoA walking down a catwalk with different clothes on.
Smile again is the ballad of this single. It begins with the piano playing then is followed by violins. This song isn’t half bad, I have heard better though. The chorus is wonderful in terms of lyrics and music, and BoA’s voice is good. With that being said, this song really didn’t attract me that much. It’s an okay ballad, but LOVE LETTER is better.
LOSE YOUR MIND was actually a better single than I expected. This also showed that BoA can handle a little edgier song and it showed a little more of her adult side. The ballad was an okay B-Side. Overall a nice improvement from her sweeter, more innocent singles.
