Review:
We begin this single with LAST ANGEL, which is one of the hottest collaborations in years. It was used as the theme song for Japan’s release of Resident Evil: Extinction. The song has some distinct hip-hop qualities but hardly any raping, and has a very catchy chorus. And this song also uses quite a bit of English, which is a nice addition. And when I could understand the English, it was fantastic. However, it seems that Tohoshinki just mirror Kumi’s vocals until they have to sing, or do the rap. The song also sounds a little dark, but that’s a good thing. It’s a change for Kumi but I can tolerate this one. If it wasn’t obvious, this is my favorite song on the single.

Dear Family can be called a love ballad, but not nearly as strong to be in the class of Ai no Uta, Yume no Uta etc. In my opinion it’s just a filler, but than again I liked LAST ANGEL a lot better. Still not bad at all. But not my favorite of her B-Sides.

I personally loved this song and I thought that it would reflect the mood/feel of the album. The distinct dark side of it makes it even better, and the lyrics are so good, especially with the English. What a great addition to this album. Here is the review of LAST ANGEL. […]
