Review:
Another one of there lighter works has got to be Shiawase ni Narou. The piano as well as the strings provide some great music. That being said, the song is somewhat of a ballad. But it does contain some chronic beats that are still pretty great. But my god, hiroko’s vocals were amazing, well during certain parts. miyake’s vocals seemed a little misplaced but it’s all good. Overall it’s a great pop ballad.

Perhaps one of their more signature style tracks is 777 (Three Seven) feat.ET-KING. Although desite it being a hip-hop/pop song, I can’t stand it. It’s way too slow and on top of that the music is just plain awful. And I’m not too crazy over the featured artist either. They need to stick singing by themselves.

Overall Review: Shiawase ni Narou was ballad elegance with horrific hip-pop. The title was very good, sweet in some senses and the music was so beautiful. It was very fitting of mihimaru GT. But the B-side was a disaster. There was no good rhythm or music for the most part and the vocals weren’t all that great. I just wish that the single had a more central theme.

Review:
I’ve only really heard one song by mihimaru, and that was Girigiri Hero, and I loved it. So I was hoping that I SHOULD BE SO LUCKY would be a little better, if not as good. The blaring brass was a nice touch at first but that was the only thing I liked at the beginning. But as listened the song started to should better as it progressed. I loved the vocals, even Hiroko’s. But I especially loved Miyake’s vocals, especially during the verses, and right before the chorus; it sounded fantastic! And the chorus was so catchy. It was up-beat, very happy and so so catchy! The English didn’t hurt at all either, so that was a great bonus. Not bad for a cover, well Japanese cover I guess.

With a title like Ai Kotoba, lit. Love Word I initially thought that this song would be a ballad. And I was partially right, well the sound anyway. It featured some wonderful piano chords that sounded mature and jazz like almost. The ad-libbing was nice, vocals were even better. The verses sounded a little bland, but the chorus was refreshing. Well refreshing in the it wasn’t bad sense. It just didn’t stand out to me too much. This song really wasn’t that great in my opinion, too bland for my tastes.

Overall Review: I SHOULD BE SO LUCKY / Ai Kotoba was an excellent single. Well maybe I shouldn’t use the word excellent. I really liked the first title track, it wasn’t a bad cover. But the latter I just couldn’t enjoy that much. I tried but the song was just too bland and mediocre for my tastes. It seems that their singles to get better as they progress though thankfully. Still the single wasn’t horrible, just needs some work.

Review:
Girigiri HERO, hip-hop with some cute pop. One thing I should say before I begin the review is that this group is basically a hip-hop group with some Japanese stereotypical pop. The guy, Miyake, raps while the girl, Hiroko, sings. The song begins with some discs being scratched, followed by Hiroko’s vocals. And as she sings you can hear some type of drums beats playing periodically. Afterwards the music dies down as she sings the chorus. It’s light-hearted somewhat fast, and it sounds so happy and so full of live. And my favorite part is when she sings the title, it sounds a little funny but it’s so great. Then the rapping comes into play as Miyake begins to rap. The rapping here sounds pretty soft, it’s not overwhelming and so annoying either. It’s a nice combination, much better than American rap songs in my opinion. Shortly afterwards Hiroko begins to sing again. After that it’s basically a repeats, but that’s actually not a bad thing here.

Koisuru Kimochi -acoustic ver.- a new acoustic spin. The original version of this song was originally on there seventh single, Koisuru Kimochi / YES. Now I’m not sure exactly how it sounded, but I’m sure that the vocals are the same. So for the time being, I’m gonna give this a short review. This song is mostly a ballad, being backed by the piano and other acoustic instruments. Hiroko’s vocals are very soft here, and the music moves slowly. To be honest with you, I wasn’t really thrilled by this song. I haven’t heard many of there songs, but I’m sure there are better ones than this.

BOW WOW SYSTEM GO, true Japanese hip-hop. This song is much different from the first, this is by far the most hip-hop influenced track on the single. The vocals sound a lot darker and more serious than before, but it’s not that bad as one might think. I found the chorus to be OK, not really the best here but the vocals did sound better. Otherwise I found this song very very repetitive and dull at times. They should stick with the pop part of their music, much better. But this still isn’t a bad song, it could’ve been worse.

Overall Review: Girigiri HERO was Japanese stereotypical pop, with some great rap flare for the most part. Being the first single that I’ve heard from mihimaru GT I must say that I was impressed by this single. I love how the title track was so catchy, and it had two more great selections to choose from. A great single in my opinion, one that everyone should listen to.
